Quick answerBuild-Operate-Transfer (BOT) is a Global Capability Center (GCC) model in which a partner builds the center, runs it for an agreed period, then transfers the team, assets and operations to the client. With Relevance Lab, your GCC starts in our office on our entity, and becomes your own captive center at transfer.

We build and run GCCs in the Tier 1 hubs of Mumbai, Pune, Gurgaon, Noida, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Kolkata, and in the Tier 2 city of Gandhinagar.

The model

What is the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model?

Building an offshore captive center from scratch means incorporating an entity, leasing and fitting out an office, setting up IT, security, payroll and HR, and hiring a leadership team before any work starts. BOT removes that setup risk without giving up ownership.

In our build-operate-transfer model, we build your GCC inside Relevance Lab's office, on our entity, and hire the team to your requirements. We operate it to agreed SLAs while the team matures and your own leaders take the lead. Then, we transfer it: the people, assets, knowledge and operations move to your entity and premises as your captive center.

You get a working GCC in weeks, a partner accountable for running it, and a clear, contracted path to full ownership.

The transfer

When and how the transfer happens

The transfer date and terms are agreed in the contract up front. Typical triggers are a stable team delivering to SLA, your own leadership in place, and your India entity ready. Here is the checklist we run.

  • Your India entity incorporated and registered
  • Center leadership in place and ready to take over
  • Employees moved with continuity of service and benefits
  • Client, vendor and license contracts assigned
  • IP, code and documentation handed over
  • IT systems, assets and access transferred
  • Premises decided: stay in our office, move, or open your own
  • Governance and support agreed for after transfer
